Tryout Information

Tryouts for the 2012-2013 season will begin on Friday, July 20. Tryouts are divided by age classification. All players must tryout at their correct age group. NO EXCEPTIONS. Players are not required to attend every tryout, however, it is highly recommended that players attend as many tryouts as possible as coaches may begin to offer contracts as soon as the completion of the first tryout.

The 2012-2013 tryout registration fee is $125. Registration can be completed online or at the front desk of the Oakland Ice Center.

MITES (birth years 04-06) 

Due to the busy summer schedules of families with young hockey players, we will be providing a Mite Placement Program in an attempt to create the best and most cohesive experience to start the season off right. 

Mites should be registered using our online registration process the same as any other age group player. All registered players will be invited to the following ice times:

• Saturday, July 28 - 10:30-11:45AM
• Saturday, August 4 - 10:30-11:45AM
• Saturday, August 10 - 10:30-11:45AM
• Saturday, August 18 - 10:30-11:45AM
• Saturday, August 25 - 10:30-11:45AM

At the completion of all ice sessions, we will have a Mite pizza party and all registered Mites will be placed on a team and will continue to develop their hockey skills for the 2012-2013 as a part of the Oakland Bears program.
