What is Bears Travel Hockey?

Ready for the next level of challenge?  Tryout for our travel hockey teams!  With pre-season practices and games starting in mid-August and formal NorCal season games running through April, travel hockey is a way of life!  Teams are leveled at AA, A, BB, B levels by age range based on pre-season results. Players practice about twice a week and have a game(s) on weekends throughout the season. Teams also travel to 2 or 3 “Away” four-day tournaments, typically two in-state and one out of state.

While travel hockey is a large time commitment, it is a total blast for the whole family. Teams work hard, play hard and develop through collaboration, support, and rigor- on and off the ice. With our combined travel and in-house programs, we have the level of hockey for every player and, on even our most competitive teams, we focus on development, fair ice, and learning time for ALL players.
