USA Hockey and Sharks Ice/Oakland Bears ADM Practices and Presentations Information

Staff from USA Hockey will be in Oakland, California to host an evening of on-ice youth hockey practices, in addition to off-ice coaching and parent forums, as part of a USA Hockey Model Association event with the Sharks Ice and Oakland Bears Programs October 2, 2014.

The on-ice sessions, to be held at the Oakland Ice Center, will focus on age-appropriate training methods as part of USA Hockey's American Development Model. ADM Regional Managers Michele Amidon, Ty Hennes, Matt Herr and Bob Mancini will help lead the sessions in cooperation with the Sharks Ice Staff and Bears  Coaches.

Off the ice, USA Hockey representatives will explore the ADM and its skill-development emphasis with coaches, administrators and parents, covering a range of topics from practice planning to competition schedules to sport science and long-term athlete development principles.
